FAQ

Is it really free?

Totally free! Not only is gig free, you can actually get money by earning points every time you use the gig card.

Should I keep collecting receipts?

gig’s card is provided by a regulated financial institution, so our system of record-keeping is more than enough for the IRS. Say goodbye to your shoebox full of loose receipts :)

So, how do you make money?

gig makes money from an “interchange fee”. Every time you use gig’s card, the merchant pays Mastercard / Visa a small fee, and we get a part of it. That way we don’t charge you for our service, and even give you money through points! A win-win for everyone!

I also pay with cash sometimes, can gig help me?

Of course, all you need to do is text us a picture of the receipt, we’ll take care of all the rest.

How are you different than other solutions?

First, gig is completely FREE. Secondly, with gig you’re finally free of tracking your own expenses, gig takes care of it for you! Bookkeeping isn’t your problem any more, it’s ours.

Who is eligible to use gig?

gig is available in the U.S. only and you have to be 18 or older to join. The gig card can be used anywhere in the world.

Who is taking care of my bookkeeping then?

gig assigns a Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) to your card, who is in charge of your bookkeeping - this with the help of our Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms that minimize human error for maximized savings on taxes.

Do I need to change my existing credit card or bank account?

Absolutely not! You can of course use gig exclusively for all your expenses, but you don’t have to! You can absolutely keep all your existing accounts and cards, and use gig only for your business expenses.
